FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the towel really made in Japan?

Yes. Rinse towels are woven, dyed, and finished in Gunma Prefecture, Japan - the country's historic textile region. Every towel carries the Made in Japan mark on its box.

How is this different from a loofah?

A loofah is a dense sponge that traps water and dead skin and stays damp for days. The Rinse towel is an open nylon weave: it exfoliates more effectively, rinses completely clean, and hangs dry in minutes. Once you switch, the loofah goes in the bin.

Is it too rough for sensitive skin?

Rinse is a medium-firm weave - effective for rough patches, KP, and back acne, but designed for daily use. Pressure is in your hands: glide lightly for a daily polish, press firmer for a deeper weekly exfoliation. We do not recommend using the body towel on your face.

How long is it? Will it reach my back?

120 cm (47 inches) - long enough to stretch across your whole back with a hand on each end. Back reach is the whole point.

How do I use it?

Wet the towel, add a drop of body wash, and work it into a rich foam. Scrub, rinse the towel clean, and hang it to dry. That is the entire ritual.

How do I wash it, and how long does it last?

Rinse it well after each use and hang to dry - that covers daily care. You can machine wash it cold in a garment bag occasionally. For peak hygiene and texture we recommend replacing your towel every 3 months; the 3-pack covers you for most of a year.
