Rinse towels are knitted, dyed, and finished in Gunma Prefecture - Japan's historic textile heartland, where weaving craft has been passed down for over a millennium. The same region, the same looms, and the same craftspeople behind the towels found in Japanese homes and onsen.
Not "Japanese-inspired." Japanese. It says so on the seal: Made in Japan.
Two threads, doing two different jobs
Every Rinse towel is built from a dual-thread nylon weave. A tightly-spun lathering thread whips a drop of body wash into dense, cushioning foam - so the scrub never feels raw. A textured exfoliating thread lifts away dead skin, oil, and buildup, smoothing rough patches with every pass. The edges are selvedge - woven, not cut - so they never fray or unravel.
Why nylon, why Japan
Japanese bathers have used nylon body towels for over half a century - a bathing ritual refined across generations. The weave is firm enough to genuinely exfoliate, gentle enough for daily use, and dries in minutes so it stays fresh between showers. We chose to make ours in Japan because the craft simply isn't the same anywhere else.
